New Delhi: When it comes to Indian representation at the Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a name that stands out. The actress, who has graced the Cannes red carpet for over 20 years, attended the screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” on Thursday. On the red carpet, Aishwarya dazzled in a black and white Falguni Shane Peacock outfit adorned with 3D gold embellishments.
Off the red carpet, she was spotted walking hand-in-hand with her daughter Aaradhya, who is a regular companion at Cannes. In a video shared by a fan page on X (formerly known as Twitter), Aaradhya can be seen smiling as she walks beside her mother.

Last year, in an interview with Anupama Chopra for Film Companion at Cannes, Aishwarya was asked about Aaradhya’s experience at the festival. She responded, “Isn’t that a question she should be answering? At some point in her life, she will. For now, it’s about being together. Aaradhya knows everyone here; it’s like reuniting with friends. She loves the vibe and understands that it’s really about the world of cinema.”
Aishwarya and her husband Abhishek Bachchan, co-stars of films like “Umrao Jaan,” “Guru,” “Kuch Naa Kaho,” and “Raavan,” got married on April 20, 2007. They welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in 2011.
