AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has firmly ruled out any alliance with the INDIA bloc, stating that “one-sided love won’t work.” Speaking at a public event, Owaisi criticised opposition parties and expressed strong support for forming a third political front ahead of the Bihar elections.
No Alliance with INDIA Bloc
Owaisi made it clear that AIMIM will not align with the INDIA alliance. “One-sided love is not possible. The accusations made against us were false,” he said. He alleged that certain parties are targeting AIMIM because they fear a strong political voice emerging for the poor and marginalised.
Suppression of Marginalised Voices
According to Owaisi, traditional political parties want to keep the oppressed communities under their control. “They want the people of Bihar to remain powerless. But we will contest the elections on our own terms,” he added.
Push for Third Front
Reaffirming AIMIM’s plan, Owaisi said that party president Akhtarul Iman has already called for forming a third front. He emphasized this move was aimed at offering voters an alternative to both the NDA and the INDIA bloc.
“This idea has come forward with a purpose, and the people of Bihar must understand why,” Owaisi stated.
