On November 15, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bihar to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a revered tribal leader, during the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas event. Earlier, on November 13, PM Modi had visited Darbhanga to lay the foundation stone for a new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), which will serve as the second AIIMS hospital in Bihar.
