A 65-year-old woman in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district was allegedly gang-raped by four men after she refused to give them cigarettes. The incident occurred in Nawabganj area, where the men, reportedly intoxicated, visited the woman’s house past midnight. The woman, who owns a betel shop, declined their demand for cigarettes, prompting the men to break into her house, drag her to a nearby field, and commit the crime.

The incident occurred late at night, when the accused men went to the woman’s house seeking cigarettes. After she refused, they became aggressive, banged on her door, and eventually broke into the house. Unable to escape due to her age, the woman was forcibly taken to a field. Despite her screams for help, no one came to her aid.
The accused also reportedly stole cash from the house before fleeing the scene.
Police Action and Arrests
The woman’s family immediately reported the crime to the police. Based on their statements, a case was registered, and two of the accused were arrested the following day. A manhunt is underway for the remaining two suspects, who are all from the same village.
